Drum Circle
with Sean Cudd OTR/L
Join Sean for group drumming sessions!
Feel what drums do for the brain and body!

Drum circles offer a powerful combination of cognitive and physical benefits. Rhythmic drumming synchronizes brainwave activity, particularly increasing alpha brainwaves, which are associated with states of calm, focus, and reduced stress. This meditative quality helps lower the stress hormone cortisol and can stimulate the production of endorphins, leading to feelings of well-being and pain relief. Physically, the act of drumming engages the body, increases heart rate, and boosts the immune system by raising levels of T-cells. Furthermore, participating in a group drum circle fosters a sense of community and social connection, which is crucial for mental and emotional health.
