Lisa Rykhus - COTA
My name is Lisa Rykhus. I'm an occupational therapy assistant who graduated from St. Catherine University. I absolutely love children. Over the past 6 years, I have gained a wide variety of experience working with children. I have training and experience working with children who have ASD, Down syndrome and emotional behavior disorders. Helping children learn through exploration is important to me, and I believe that OT does just that for a child. I have worked in various child care settings and group homes, which included 4 adolescent girls who have Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. This opportunity allowed me to integrate occupational therapy interventions into their daily lives. I truly hope to further impact someone's life through OT, which is why I'm excited to be working at Points of Stillness. Things I enjoy doing in my free time consist of biking, fishing, gardening, hiking, spending time at the lake, volunteering at my local animal shelter and spending time with my new puppy!
